Alright thrill seekers,
We are back at work and so is Neil. You may have caught him at the Illawarra folkie last month. From there he travelled down the NSW south coast and hooked up with rap/hiphop artist WZA (aka Warren Johnson) at Wallaga Lake for some co- writing. (Expect to see the fruit of that collaboration at Cobargo Folkie this month)
On his way home, Neil played at one of his favourite hideouts- the Mudbrick Pavilion in Mallacoota.
Most of you will be aware of the crowd funding campaign that Neil and Sammy Butcher are currently running through Oz Crowd to raise funds for them to record an album “ Tjungukutu” (Joining togteher). Neil and Sammy haven’t recorded together since the Warumpi Band’s last album "Too Much Humbug" in the mid 90’s. We can’t overstate the importance of this project folks. They already have a swag of songs, a studio lined up in Adelaide and Jim Moginie lined up to produce. All they need is the funds. To date they have about 25% of their target.
To contribute to this exciting project please visit the crowd funding page at this link: https://ozcrowd.com/campaigns/neil-murray-and-sammy-butcher-tjungukutu-coming-together/#.Vmv3hYRUT-Y
